Parian ladies are in a class of their own, so very unique from china ladies and bisque-head child dollies. This particular Parian lady has a head of highly-detailed swept-back blond hair, with a modeled net snood to hold it in place. Her ears are partially exposed, while her refined, mature facial features bear selective blushing, over an overall pale-white complexion. She has vibrant blue eyes, a petite closed mouth, and stands tall at 21”, with parian lower arms and a cloth body. She is adorned in a lovely vintage dress, and wears her all-original, antique underthings, including a fabulous corset. She’s in great condition overall, and would make an excellent addition to your fine doll collection!

She has a parian shoulder-head, with highly-detailed modeled and painted features. She has blond hair, swept back, with a molded net snood at the back, with her ears partially-exposed. She has a set of bright blue eyes, with tapered blond brows, and selective blushing over her pale complexion, with a closed mouth. She has a glossed collar, with gold and blue painted details, with molded wrinkles on the plate to mimic the creases of a shirt. She stands at 21” tall, on a cloth body, with parian lower arms.
She wears a cream and slate blue-striped gown, of vintage make, with a cream lace collar, in a silk (?) fabric. She wears her all-original, antique underthings: a cream cotton half slip, with tucking, eyelet embroidery lace trim, with a pale blue embroidered “EDITH” on the front of the skirt; a beautiful cream cotton corset, with back lacing and metal gromets; a white cotton full slip, sleeveless, with thin lace trim, and a pair of pantaloons. She also wears her original gray-green knitted socks, with a pair of antique original oilcloth black shoes.
CONDITION: Generally excellent! The parian shoulder head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, and bears top-quality modeling and painting. The detailing is very precise, indicating that she was likely one of the earlier heads out of her particular mold. There are a few sparse pepper spots here and there, and some miniscule surface flakes to the porcelain on the plate, but they are minor and typical. The cloth body is clean and sturdy, and may possibly be a contemporary replacement. The bisque arms are good, with no issues, and the fingers are all intact. The costume has held up beautifully over the years, with sturdy construction, nice preservation of stitching, and good colors; only the most minor and typical of age wear is present. The shoes do have a more moderate level of age wear, as the shoes are usually the first to start exhibiting signs of age -- still, overall, she has done wonderfully over the many years she has been circulating the world, and she would make a fine addition to any collection!
