She has a bisque socket head, with a nice pale complexion and cute dolly features. Brown fixed eyes, with painted lower and upper lashes, and with feathered brows. She has an open mouth, with five upper teeth. She is on a Jumeau French composition and wood body with an oval paper label signed Jumeau / Diplome d'Honeur. She wears her original human hair wig in a mid-length, curly style.
She is wearing a navy blue hat trimmed with pink and purple flowers to match her antique cream and purple pinstripe silk dress. The dress is accented with buttons down the front of the chest and with black velvet at the neck, arms and waist. Underneath she wears a white cotton full slip with insertion lace, embroidered floral panel all picot edged with a second slip underneath that, a little more simply hemmed with a line of lace. To complete the look, she wears black leather shoes and black socks.
MARKS: Dep. / 44-32
CONDITION: Generally excellent! There is a chip out of the inner rim of the bisque— completely unnoticeable even without the wig on! It absolutely does not affect her presentation. Nice quality bisque with expert painting of features, very crisp modeling, pleasant color, lovely large eyes and a sweet expression. Body has some expected wear, and areas of loss of paint/touch-up, particularly the hands. The costume is great antique condition, and presents well. Made for the French trade and mounted on a Jumeau body. Overall, this girl is exceptional!
