One of the cornerstones of any great doll collection must include a version of the famous Daisy. Daisy is a doll that was awarded to young girls as a premium for selling 3 subscriptions and paying $4.50 to the Ladies Home Journal in 1911. There were a total of 26,000 dolls made. The original order was for 5,000 dolls to be made by the JD Kestner doll company in Germany. This doll was a Kestner 171 head with a composition body. Other Daisies were produced by Simon & Halbig for Heinrich Handwerck. This is the more desirable Kestner “Daisy.” We are also showing the original advertisement for the Daisy doll from 1911. The lucky buyer of this wonderful doll will receive a complimentary copy of the advertisement with the doll.

She is dressed in a very sweet superbly crafted antique style pale pink cotton dress with lace overlay and lace edging, matching antique undergarments, antique cotton stockings and antique black oilcloth shoes. A pretty pink silk bow in her hair.
