Bisque socket head, with brown paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, brown feathered brows, and an open mouth with six inset upper teeth. She has pierced ears with earrings. She has lightly-blushed cheeks, with an overall pale complexion. She stands on her original antique wood & composition fully-jointed French Jumeau body at 26" tall, and wears a French human-hair wig in a chestnut brown, with bangs and wide curls.
She is adorned in wonderful gown made out of antique fabrics, with cream lace overlay, with a two-button back closure. A matching fully-antique bonnet graces her head, in lovely goldenrod lace. Underneath the dress goes an antique wool full slip, sleeveless, with lace trim and embroidery details, and a matching pair of lace-trimmed pantaloons. Lace cream socks adorn her feet, along with a nice pair of leather light brown shoes with button closures.
Marks: 1907 11 [back of head, incised]
Condition: The left side of the forehead, just above the eye, has a hairline that has been restored, with reinforcing plaster behind it in the inside of the head. Her wig makes the hairline not visible, and other than this, her head is free of any issues, including other hairlines or restoration, or any chips or cracks. The modeling and painting of features are top-notch, with that classic Jumeau Face, characteristic of the 1907 Jumeau. The paperweight eyes are set well, with a nice bright presentation, and a shiny finish. The original antique body is in great overall condition, but does have some minor to moderate levels of touchup and repainted, such as on the feet and hands. The stringing is strong and sturdy, allowing for various poses. The costume is fabulous, with only the most minor and typical of age wear; a truly beautiful set of pieces that make her shine. Overall, she's fabulous!
