Bisque socket head with beautiful modeling and expert painting, with big original blue glass sleep eyes, framed by painted lower lashes, real upper lashes, thick feathered and molded brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth and a dimpled chin, with lightly blushed cheeks. Her ears are pierced, with earrings. Atop her head sits a dark brown human hair French wig in long, crispy curls, with bangs. She is on her original body with an original finish and made of wood & composition, fully-jointed and signed Handwerck. Handwerck provided the bodies for Simon & Halbig. Later on, Handwerck designed their own dolls and Simon & Halbig made the heads for the Handwerck company. She stands at 31" tall.
She wears a white wide-brimmed bonnet atop her head, along with a white antique lace and cotton dress, with endless flowery designs in the lace, with long sleeves. Underneath goes a white cotton full slip with lace trim, and matching pantaloons, along with a pair of white socks and a pair of old oilcloth white shoes.Her dress is adorned with a wonderful antique Victorian pin with faux diamonds and enamel work.

CONDITION: Excellent. She has gorgeous, pale bisque with expert and delicate painting of features, crisp and deep modeling of an absolutely beautiful face, pleasant, subtle color. The bisque head is absolutely free of cracks, chips, restoration or hairlines. The original glass eyes sparkle and are with great pupil alignment; the eyes sleep well. The wood & composition body is great, and has its shiny original finish, and is in great overall condition, with only the most minor of age wear here and there and paint touch up to the hands. The costume is great overall, with only some minor and typical areas of wear. The French human hair wig is supple and full, with a great color and texture. Overall, this girl is in great condition, and you can buy her with confidence!
