Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn, tinges the hills and valleys of the land with rosy golden shades. You could almost believe that the artists at the Handwerck firm were divinely inspired by her beauty to create this blue-eyed damsel! Golden curls surround her pink and white face like a soft cloud, tied back with a pink satin ribbon. Her dress is also pink, in a cotton organdy with a crew windowpane pattern and black and white piping. She's as lovely as the sunrise!
Heinrich Handwerck brings you this adorable girl, standing at 26", in the lovely 109 mold. She has a beautiful bisque head, with a modeled face that is full of joy and is just-so alluring! She has a head of golden blond hair, and is adorned in a sweet pale pink dress, on a lovely original-finish body. She is of special importance, being an early model of the Handwerck 109, known as the "early H model", thanks to her unique head mark. Her body is representative of her early origins as well. In great overall condition, this girl is JUST what you need!

Bisque socket head with beautiful deep modeling and expert painting, with big blue glass sleep eyes, framed by painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth, with lightly blushed cheeks. She wears a golden blond curly mohair wig, of top quality, with a nice soft texture. She is on her original early antique wood & composition body, although her left forearm and hand are replacements (see full condition for details). She stands at 26" tall, with a great presentation.
She wears a pink cotton organdy dress with windowpane patterns, and subtle piping and trim. A pink silk bow is tied and pinned to her hair, while underneath the dress she wears a white cotton antique slip and matching pantaloons, both in extraordinary condition, with eyelet lace. Her feet are adorned in black long socks, with a pair of antique two-tone lace-up leather boots.
MARKS: 109 13 3/4 H 5 [back of head, incised]
CONDITION: Excellent! She has gorgeous, pale bisque with expert and delicate painting of features, crisp and deep modeling of an absolutely beautiful face, pleasant, subtle color. The bisque head is absolutely free of cracks, chips, restoration or hairlines. The glass eyes sparkle and are with great pupil alignment; the eyes sleep well. The wood & composition body is great, and has its shiny original finish, and is in very good overall condition, with only the most minor of age wear here and there. The left forearm and hand are replacements, but this is not that noticeable. The shoulder and elbow ball joints are a little bigger than usual. Other than this, she's a fabulous girl! The costume is great overall, with some minor areas of wear. The shoes are antique boots, with some moderate wear, so be careful if you remove them! Overall, she's a beautiful girl you cannot deny!
