She gazes out the nursery window with a sigh at the lights of carriages arriving below. This SFBJ girl would love to attend the grand party Mama and Papa are throwing, but alas! It's not for little girls. She's consoled herself with a strand of pearls from the dress-up trunk and a blue ribbon (matching her sparkling sleep eye) to tie in her golden mohair curls. She climbs off the window seat, holding out the skirt of her antique, white cotton dress with its eyelet lace trim, lace cuffs, and pale blue sash. If she cannot dance at the ball, she'll have her own fête with her dolls and a tinkling music box!
Take a moment -- it's not uncommon to have to catch your breath when you lay your eyes upon this OUTSTANDING SFBJ bebe, standing at 33 inches tall! In 1899, the Société Française de Fabrication de Bébé & Jouets was born -- a conglomeration of various French doll manufacturers, including the prestigious Jumeau firm. They produced a variety of fantastic dolls, one of them being this gorgeous Jumeau bebe, who is adorned in a wonderful antique costume, with bright blue eyes, and a creamy bisque socket head with the most adorable facial modeling. She's just as sweet as she can be, in excellent condition from top to bottom. There is no reason for you to not add this PRINCESS to your collection -- this is the type of sweet bebe who will define your collection for years to come!

She stands at 33" tall from head to toes, and wears a golden blond mohair wig with curls and bangs.
She is adorned in a beautiful antique white cotton gown, with stunning intricate eyelet embroidery lace trim, and multiple thin rows of tucking along the bodice. The long sleeves have lace cuffs, and the back closes with multiple functional buttons. This dress itself is a pure work of art... Underneath goes a white cotton half slip, with lace trim, with a draw-string waist, along with a matching antique white cotton onesie with button-up back. Marks: R SFBJ PARIS 15 [back of head, incised]
Condition: Excellent. The bisque head is overall fabulous, with no hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The modeling and painting of features are top-notch, with that intrinsic French look. The glass eyes sleep well, with good pupil alignment, and nice full upper lashes that show off the sparkling eyes well. There is a minor craze in her right eye, however. It is not that noticeable, though. The body does have some minor and expected typical age wear. Some touch-up to the forearms and hands, but the overall finish is original. The stringing is strong and sturdy, allowing for poses. The costume is fabulous, with only the most minor and typical of age wear; a truly beautiful set of pieces that make her shine. Overall, she's fabulous!
