No pale, wilting flower here! This Cuno and Otto Dressel girl is as rosy as a new blossom, from her pink cheeks and blue sleep eyes like drops of dew to her fiery red curls. Her antique white cotton dress is a fantasy of insertion lace, pin tucks, a ruffled bertha collar, lace trim, and a wide periwinkle sash. Bring all this life and vivacity into your collection and your heart! This little lady is a Jutta by Cuno & Otto Dressel, produced in Germany circa 1906. Dressed in an antique white cotton dress with layers of insertion lace, fine pin-tucks and lace trim, she’s simply delightful.

Her bisque socket head is on a fully jointed original composition and wood body. She has red molded and painted feathered brows above her beautiful blue glass sleep eyes which have painted upper and lower lashes. Her sweetly molded mouth is open and showing four upper inset teeth. She has pierced ears sporting lovely vintage earrings. Her modern red mohair wig perfectly matches her brows.

She wears and antique white cotton dress intricately fashioned with insertion lace, lace trim and some fine pin-tucking expertly done on the upper bodice with a wide, ruffled "Bertha Collar" flounce and a full skirt beginning at her natural waist which is accented with a blue sash. The full sleeves are also lace-edged. Her antique full slip is also made of white cotton and has two large tucks with a gathered waist. Her antique white cotton pantaloons are pleasantly edged in lace. She wears white cotton socks and beautiful antique style red leather shoes.

Marks: 2 ½ / 1349 / Dressel / [oval symbol] / 8

Condition: Excellent. Her bisque head is free of hairlines, cracks, chips or restoration. Her original body is in great condition, very clean with minimal wear and original finish with perfect original hands. One foot has an age crack which has been stabilized. Her costume is also in great condition, with some very minor areas of age staining which do not affect the presentation. Please examine all photos. All around, a really lovely antique child doll of a bygone era!
