Creamy and pale bisque socket head with blue glass sleep eyes, and open mouth with four upper teeth; molded and painted features. Painted upper and lower lashes, real upper lashes, and dark feathered brown brows. Human hair blond wig with bangs. She wears a white cotton antique dress, in lovely conditino, with frontal eyelet embroidery and insertion ribbon with feather stitching. White cotton vintage socks, and antique black oilcloth shoes.
MARKS: 2 1/2 AB & G Made in Germany [incised, back of head]
Made in Germany [red stamp on back of torso]
CONDITION: Generally Excellent. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. Modeling is crisp and the painting is sharp and delicate, indicative of particular care by the manufacturers. The glass eyes sleep well. The eyes are set nicely within the head, with good pupil alignment. The body is well-strung and has held up well, with the original finish. Only minor wear to the body, here and there, but nothing major; just some minor paint touchup to the torso neck. Costume is good, with only the most extraordinarily-minor wear here and there; the antique dress is in particularly-good condition for such an old piece. Overall, a great doll in great condition!
