It wouldn't be spring without the butterflies rising from the grass to dance, jewel-bright, around the garden. This Simon and Halbig girl was made to fly, too- from her native Germany to France to compete with the French bebes. And with those huge luminous blue eyes and that soft smile and shining chestnut curls, she's surely a worthy contender. Her stunning antique gown is bright teal with a lace collar, lace trim, and a coral-colored sash. Add a ruffled bonnet and she's ready to soar to the highest heavens!
If you are interested in acquiring a doll that treads the fine line between plaything and a historically important work of art, you have found a prime example in this doll. I simply adore the French Trade Simon & Halbigs with the rare 749 mold numbers circa 1893 to 1899. This rare mold number has the widest face activated by her slight smile and expressive huge eyes! Exhibiting the finest quality of painting, the most exquisite modeling, and the softest coloring, she is a tip-top investment piece that you will love and adore for years to come. Additionally she is dressed in a possibly original silk and lace dress and her wonderful original undergarments. --Just Wow! I almost kept her, but alas, I have limited space and I cannot, so I decided that she should be offered for sale to my wonderful Ruby Lane followers.
She is available for layaway for up to 8 months, We know that even advanced collectors need time to pay for the top dolls that define a top-notch collection.
