Bisque socket head, with brown glass fixed eyes and painted lashes, thick feathered brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. Blushed cheeks, with overall pale complexion. She stands on her original fully jointed wood & composition body. She stands at 16.5" tall. She wears a goldenrod straw bonnet with lace overlay and bows and flowers. She wears a blond synthetic wig in banana curls. She wears a cream cotton dress with pleats and flower print; white cotton full slip with blue lace, and white cotton pantaloons; white cotton socks and faux leather peach shoes.
Marks: 1894 AM 3 DEP [back of head, incised]
Condition: Generally good. This girl has a beautiful bisque head that is free of hairlines, cracks, or restoration, and has excellent modeling, offering a beautiful dolly face that truly is alluring. Eyes are originally fixed. The original body has flaking to the composition, particularly to the joints and the neck socket. The right foot has been restored, where a piece had broken off and was reglued. Most of the original finish remainds. The right thumb has been chipped off.
