It's true, the dolls by Armand Marseille can be found in pretty much any and every German doll collection -- their reliable beauty and sweet faces keep us doll lovers coming back for more! The French Trade was gifted with this lovely girl here, with the unusual 3600 mold number. She has a truly adorable expression, with big bright eyes, and a cute petite mouth set nicely between two chunky cheeks -- there's almost a little bit of character look to her. She's dressed in a lovely antique costume, that makes her pop! She's on her original antique wood & composition cryer body that still works. Girls like these are always a pleasure to sell, and look absolutely fabulous behind any display case! Do not pass her up!
***Yes, this doll is available on layaway! She's also offered with 100% FREE SHIPPING within the USA! This darling girl is ready to arrive at your door. She has a bisque socket head with expert modeling and crisp detailing, 21.5" tall. Blue glass sleep eyes are framed by painted upper & lower lashes, feathered brown brows. She has an open mouth with four upper teeth and a dimpled chin. She wears a blond mohair wig in tight, bountiful curls.. She is on her original antique wood & composition body, with the cryer pullstring and working cryer inside, with the band around the torso where the two pieces were joined in manufacturing to fit in the cryer.
She wears a red bow in her hair, matching nicely with a white cotton antique dress with lace trim and insertion lace, with red polka dots. She has all-antique underwear: white cotton full slip, wool half slip, lace trim and embroidered pantaloons, and a chemise, all antique. Cream lace socks, and white leather shoes with red ribbon ties.
MARKS : AM - DEP Made in Germany No. 3600 8
CONDITION : Excellent. Bisque is free of hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The painting is excellent and the modeling is crisp and detailed. Particularly-pale and sweet complexion, with a unique expressive face. Wood & composition body is pretty good, with the all original finish, and only some dirt and wear here and there; the knuckles of the fingers have some rubbing, but the fingers are all intact and good. Some wear to the knee joints. Cryer works, but one of the pullstrings has detached, so be careful! Costume is great, and all antique (except for perhaps the socks and shoes). This is a beautiful girl!
