Prepare the highest shelf of your collection cabinet, for this Gebruder Heubach character is ready to take his place upon it! There is a special place in my heart for character boys, as they are such a welcome departure from the usual bisque girl dollies. He's a rare model, too -- the 7603 -- I haven't seen one of these in quite a while, and haven't sold one in just as long! Those intaglio eyes really set him apart, with great unique character modeling, and a beautiful and unusual flocked hair. A beautiful original Holz Masse body with the original red marking makes him stand at 20" tall, with great pose-ability, while he is adorned in an outstanding sailor costume made from antique fabrics! The Holz Mass name was for a subtype of wood and composition bodies by Cuno Otto Dressel, who was one of the many body manufacturers for Gebruder Heubach, who commissioned their body orders for their dolls. This boy is just too splendid -- he needs a mother or father to appreciate him! Do not hesitate another moment, and make him your very own!

Solid domed bisque socket head, with beautiful original flocked hair in a dark blond. Super deep intaglio blue eyes, with distinctive Heubach character face, slightly pouty, with molded open/closed mouth. Original Holtz Masse wood & composition body, standing at 20" tall, with great pose-ability and tight stringing, and all original finish.
He wears a great sailor costume, starting with an antique cream wool cap with black ribbon. A blue-green cotton matching pair of trousers and jacket, out of antique fabrics, with cream sailor-type collar with black necktie. Underneath he wears a fantastic original antique knit chemise and long torso pantaloons. Antique burgundy and cream knit striped socks, and vintage black real leather boots with three eyelet ties.
