Ahoy, he cries! Ladies and gents, we have a new charming boy we'd like to introduce you to; this sweet little gent is just the ticket for charming all those cute little girls in your display. We are sure you have a place in the collection cabinet for this delightful papier mache boy, whose bright face is just eager for some love. Blue glass eyes lure you in, while his cheeky smile makes you stay! His all-original cute sailor-type costume adorns him, and he wears it well. A great addition to the collection, he will make!
Paper mache painted shoulder head with solid dome top, with affixed original mohair blond wig. Blue glass eyes with nice silvery spiraling, and a closed mouth in a nice smile. Painted features, with upper and lower lashes, and feathered brows. Composition arms with original finish, and all fingers intact, and painted composition lower legs, with white stockings and black shoes with painted straps. Horsehair-stuffed body. Stands at 13.5" tall.
He's adorned in his all original sailor costume. NOTE that he is sewn in, and we do not want to compromise the costume by removing it! White cotton shirt with sailor blue collar and matching blue hat, affixed to the top of the head. Blue trousers.
CONDITION: Generally very good! The papier mache head is good, with original painting of features, and nice affixed glass eyes, which have a nice alignment. The wig is original, and is glued to the head along with the hat, so be careful if you want to remove it (we wouldn't recommend it). Only some minor wear to the face, here and there, but nothing unexpected. Flaking/thin chipping to the tip of his left ear. The costume is original and antique, and is nicely suited to him. The composition arms are good with the original finish, although he is missing the tips of two fingers on the left hand. The composition legs are good, while the body underneath feels good and secure.
