Museum-Quality Marked Antique Steiner Shoes & Spats Size 10 with Boutique Label
These mint antique marked Steiner shoes with spats are a museum-worthy pair! If your Size 10 Steiner enjoys the fall weather and is perhaps interested in a few out-door activity ensembles, grab these beauties now. There is a gorgeous original leather finish on each shoe, in a rich brown, with the original three-eyelet lace-up fronts. Each shoe has the perfectly-visible Steiner doll marked imprint on the sole, along with the size number 10 clearly printed near the toe. The good news doesn't stop there; the original spats each have the size number 10 on the straps, to indicate that they accompany this shoe pair and size perfectly. The spats even have the boutique label on the interior of one of them, "AU LOUVRE PARIS", indicating that this pair of shoes and spats were sold in the boutique shop in the Louvre Museum in Paris. Each item is as close to mint condition as we can get with such historical doll clothing pieces. This is the type of item you would see sitting behind glass in a prestigious doll museum today! Truly, any Steiner bebe of yours will be begging to have this exquisite footwear to adorn her feet.
Make this your chance to own an irreplaceable part of antique doll history. It is unlikely we will have this kind of item come into our shop again -- such is the nature of rare antique doll treasures!

Antique brown pair of genuine antique Steiner shoes, with three rows of eyelets on each boot. Original laces intact, with decorative poms near the toe. Matching paired spats, fitted perfectly for the boots, and they slide right on top. Side lacing on the spats, with seven rows of eyelets, and a bottom strap that swings under the shoe, and buttons on the other side. Buttons are still in place, and the buttonholes are still intact.
*NOTE: The Steiner doll pictured is NOT included in this listing. This listing includes only the described boots and spats. The Steiner is for sale, listed separately. Just search "20" Steiner" in my shop, or use RLI-2023.
Marks: Shoes have the size number "10" on the sole near the toe, and the Steiner doll figure mark just below. The spats have the size number "10" on the bottom strap, to show that these spats were specific to this size of shoe. One of the spats in the pair has the original boutique label: AU LOUVRE PARIS.
Measurements: Boots are 2.75" in height, with a 3.5" in length from heel to toe. Spats are 4-5" in height, and slip on top of the boots perfectly.
Condition: Absolutely excellent, near mint! Each boot is gorgeous, with a nice goldenrod color to the leather, with brown undertones that give it that beautiful antique look that cannot be beat. The eyelets and lacing are well and intact, surprisingly for a piece of this age. The soles are secured well, with the marks still very clear and visible. The spats are fabulous too, with intact eyelets and lacing, while the strap that hooks under the shoes and holds the spats in place still has the intact buttons and buttonholes. A beautiful pair of shoes for your Steiner!

**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we know how important it is for them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!** LBS 9/24/16
