Exquisite 20.5" Enfantine Poupee by Blampoix in Her Original Ensemble~Mint Condition~
Mademoiselle Penelope is a precious gift from the past. Stepping straight out of the 1850's, as though untouched by time, Penelope's beauty is hard to convey in the photographs, but I can, with confidence say that I have never seen a more beautiful, more pristine glazed Blampoix in my many years of handling dolls. If you think she is pretty in the pictures- well you have no idea how incredible she is when before you. An extremely rare Blampoix, Mademoiselle Penelope was one of the earliest poupees in porcelain ever made, as well as one of the finest ever produced by Blampoix as the firm rarely made extremely expensive 'pink tinted' models such as she. With the most angelic face, an outstanding original costume, her original shoes and wig, near MINT delicate pink kid body... Let alone her majestic, large scale size. Mademoiselle Penelope is destined to be a favorite in the collection of whomever she next calls "Mamma," or "Pappa." Did you examine her ensemble yet? That 1850's woven wool gets me every time, especially in this cobalt blue that seems made to match her big cobalt eyes. On that topic- what a cape- what a hat! What a presentation; she could converse and interact with sisters on the caliber of Huret and Rohmer with ease, in the tea parlor, with her cloak displayed to the side, or perhaps she could take a trip to the market in her very own vignette. You just don't find poupees like this too frequently- especially these early enfantines, they are so few and far between. Take advantage of her availability before she is gone for good, off to her new home! You won't want to regret missing her!
~Mademoiselle Penelope is available on layaway! Take up to 1 year to pay for this beauty. Give us a call anytime at 718.859.0901 to hear an in hand description of her wonderful condition, or to discuss layaway terms. We would be happy to answer any questions about this beautiful doll.~

She has adorable antique striped socks and leather curved sole shoes. While we are on the topic of accessories- she is sporting a delicious grey wool cape with burgundy velvet top that has faded, accented by red velvet trimming. Matching grey chapeau with red ties and festive berry trimmings. She most certainly is delicious.
