*Barefoot Beauty* 15" English Poured Wax Early Lady c.1855 with Original Hand-Inserted Wig
The test of time has had nearly no effect on this EXQUISITE English wax lady. Coming to you from c.1855, this early poured-wax doll shines just as bright as she did when she was first released on to the market -- and she is looking for some loving parents! A gorgeous, hand-inserted original wig sits atop her expertly-modeled face, with blue paperweight eyes so full of love and character. A particularly-pouty mouth really characterizes her playful yet coy temperament, while the lovely shade of pink that her wax takes makes her particularly lifelike. Adorned in a lovely dress, she is bound to steal someone's heart away... Just snatch her up before someone else does! As the years go by, wax ladies like these will become fewer and fewer, and it is important for the most serious of collector's to call one of these girls their own before they become impossible to find! She's even available on layaway, so you can take your time to pay! Let not another moment go by, where this angel is not your own!
*We are offering this delightful wax lady on layaway! Call us at 718-859-0901 for payment plan details! Even better, we are offering FREE SHIPPING within the USA for this girl!*
She has a wonderful poured wax head on her original cloth body, with original wax arms. Beautiful face with excellent rendering of features. Delicately painted upper and lower lashes surround the eyes, while she has feathered blond flat brows, which are slightly faded. Blue paperweight eyes, and a pouty mouth with shading accents, and nice chunky cheeks. RARE wax feet with nicely-modeled details. Stands at 15" tall.
She is adorned in a gorgeous vintage dress with antique cotton overlay, with lace trim and flowery designs. Underneath goes a white cotton antique eyelet lace slip and pantaloons with lace trim.
Condition: Overall fabulous. Her head and face are in great condition. Her face has maintained its bright and lush complexion, and is clear of any deep scratches or chips that might compromise the delicate wax. The original hair was expertly inset and looks gorgeous, with a golden sheen. The original body is fabulous as well, and only the typical and expected age wear to the cloth.. The only issue that this girl has is the two missing fingers on the left hand: the pointer and middle fingers. She's a particular beauty, as the wax limbs are always a really desirable trait with these early girls. It's not that big of a surprise that she has some boo-boos -- after all, she is over 160 years old! A true gem, destined for a great collection.
