Any serious collector of antique dolls knows that the quintessential baby doll to acquire is the Kestner “Hilda” baby. Celebrated for it’s non-stop adorableness and it’s delightful expression, this is the must-have baby of the antique doll world. Not only does this diminutive version meet all of these criteria, she is, by far, the smallest version of this baby that I have ever found!
Bisque socket head (8.5” circumference) on an original five piece bent limb jointed composition baby doll body. Beautiful blue sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, multi stroke feathered brows, open mouth with two upper teeth, tremble tongue, original auburn mohair baby wig over original plaster pate.
Dressed in an adorable antique white cotton and lace baby dress with blue cotton trim, a stunning antique baby bonnet with wonderful openwork embroidered pattern and fancy double-ruffled brim, powder blue cotton lace edged chemise with blue feather-stitching, antique rayon knit socks with blue stripes and blue bows. The antique baby stroller is not included.
