A fabulous fashion doll for the collector who is really particular about antique ensembles, this beautiful mademoiselle will truly capture your heart and not let go! In near MINT condition, this beautiful girl with large blue eyes and wonderful original wig is just the sort of doll that we are very excited to share with our friends in the doll world. She has all the details just so- did you see those fabulous original leather shoes?? WOW they are spectacular. Alone those shoes could sell for about $400… not to mention her other little accessories. She has numerous value points, including lovely hand-stitched leather hands, rare tongue in groove style cloth jointed knees, as well as fabulous original, couturier gown with black Chantilly lace, red silk ribbons, and brass accessories (purse and fan,) along with the most delicate painting of features. I love her pale lips and long lashes, perfect brows, and delicate pierced ears.
~Mademoiselle is available on layaway! Take up to 10 months to pay for her on our flexible layaway plans. Just give us a call at 718.859.0901 to hear an in hand description of her condition, or to discuss layaway options- but the fastest way to reach us is via email.~
She has a pale bisque socket head on bisque shoulderplate for kid and cloth body with the most beautiful blue glass paperweight eyes with large pupils (she must be conversing with someone she adores!) She has lovely features including large pale lips with accent painting, branching black brows, lined eyecuts, wheat colored brows that perfectly match her fabulous, extremely hard to find original wig with many miniature ringlets that cascade down in the back and curlicues that twist upward, denoting her as a true lady of charm.
She is wearing a beautiful gown c. 1874 with a large open collar, beautiful black lace decoration, wonderful red silk ribbon trim, made out of a feather light pale blue and black pinstriped silk. The colors scheme is completed by the red ribbons in her hair, and the corset lacing down the back of the dress. A corset dress such as this would have been a most sought after commodity. The black Chantilly lace overlay really completes the wonderful look. Underneath she has a beautiful white petticoat with cotton ruffle and double lace trimming. Under that she has a spectacular pair of purple heeled fashion boots with tassels (all original!) that would sell, by themselves, for a very pretty penny. She also has her original socks. What a complete treasure!
Condition: Excellent condition. Head and plate are perfect with no wear, cracks, chips or other imperfections. Gown is in very frail condition with some melting to the silk on the sleeves and at the right side of the skirt and the top left of the skirt. Lace is in delicate condition, but red ribbon is in fine shape. Wonderful original wig really adds to her allure! If you are the type of collector who loves to create fabulous ensembles for your doll, you might consider redrafting her original gown, and displaying it beside, or on her! If her new owner would like, we would be happy to provide a piece of black lace for her to use as a shawl for display. She is a wonderful doll, sure to be gone fast.
