This sweet cabinet Kestner, is a rarer model. She wears a very nice period dress in café-au-lait wool with lots of lace trim and a matching bonnet also from the same era, circa 1895. Her tender, shy expression, pale bisque and curly locks makes her quite desirable. She is almost too good to be true...and yet she is here, available for you to make her your very own. Put her on a short layaway plan, so you can snatch her up now and take your own time to pay!
Bisque socket head on a fully jointed composition and wood original early Kestner body with jointed cupped hands. She has blue glass eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, earlier multi-stroke flat brows, open mouth with four upper teeth, dimpled chin, pretty curly brown mohair wig with multitudinous curls. Dressed in a sweet antique woven wool café-au-lait dress with lacy bib and blue silk ribbons matching lacy bonnet with blue silk lining and bows, antique original underwear, white rayon socks and later black oilcloth shoes. CONDITION: Generally Excellent. Lovely bisque with expert painting of features, very crisp and “first out of the mold” deep modeling, pleasant color, sweet expression. The antique eyes have been set in the fixed position. This is a lovely Kestner child with renowned Kestner quality craftsmanship! She has a somewhat character face. Her wonderful original body with the earlier cupped hands is in very clean original finish condition with barely any wear. A lovely Kestner with very deep modeling and an earlier rare markings!
