We cannot stress the rarity of this darling little character by Gebruder Heubach! The coveted Mirette model, mold 10731, was a German character manufactured by GH, with specific focus for the French market. The doll's characteristic expression is enough to make us smile, but her rarity is what makes her really special! In perfect condition, this model has gone for prices around $1400! Our very own Mirette has a bit of a boo-boo to the back of the head, but her presentation value is not undermined by this. If you are the collector who just cannot wait to get their hands on this model, and like the lower price of a slight damage, then this girl is for you! She's a beauty, and nothing could take that away from her. She's even available on layaway, so there's no excuse! Make her yours!
*This doll is available on layaway. Please call us at 718-859-0901 for payment details.*
Bisque socket head with a lovely and unique character face, specific to the Mirette model. She has thinly-feathered brows, and her original blue glass sleep eyes, bounded by painted upper and lower lashes, along with an open mouth and four upper teeth. The bisque is pale, with selective blushing to the cheeks for a particularly-lifelike appearance. She is on a newer nine-piece toddler body, repainted, with straight wrists. She stands at 13.5" tall, with a soft curly mohair wig in a short, cute style, with a decorative green ribbon. She wears a green cotton dress with patterned pinstripes, and purple roses stitched in. A purple ribbon goes around the waist, while underneath a white cotton full slip is set along with a pair of pink cotton pantaloons, with white lace trim. Cream knit socks and cream oil cloth shoes adorn her feet.
Marks: 10731 5 MIRETTE
Condition: Two hairline fracture to the back of the head -- see provided photos. Thankfully, the damage does no extend to the visible front portion of the face, so this cutie is left untouched in terms of her presentation. Other than that, her bisque head is beautiful, with only some slight rubs to the right cheek -- very minor. The eyes sleep well. The body is a newer replacement, and has been repainted, but suits her well. This is an excellent choice for those collectors who absolutely need this rare model of doll produced by Gebruder Heubach, and don't want to wait until a 100% perfect one shows up, and want her for a more affordable price!
