Gorgeous Original Costume French Antique Doll w/Paperweight Eyes & Jumeau Type Body!
This French girl is an absolute beauty, adorned in her original antique satin presentation costume! She's particularly early too, coming to you from c.1895, contemporaneous with the exquisite Tete Jumeau. She has that lovely presentation every French doll collector looks for! She does have a little issue to the bisque head -- a hairline to the left side of the forehead, out of side with the wig on. Without this boo-boo, she would easily demand a price of up to $1500, but she is instead available for immediate purchase and layaway at $850! This girl is one you should not pass up, since you'll be the only person to know about her little ouchie.
***Yes, she is available on layaway! Call us up at 718-859-0901 for plan details, or for a personalized description of her beauty!***
She stands at 22.5" tall, with a lovely creamy bisque socket head. The bisque is pale and luscious, and smooth to the touch; just a slight hint of rosiness dabs the cheeks and chin, giving her that true lively expression, which is completed with vibrant sparkling brown paperweight eyes. They are framed by painted upper & lower lashes, a pair of feathered brown brows, while she also has a delicate open mouth with four upper teeth, and a slightly dimpled chin. She wears an original antique blond human hair wig, with a lovely braided crown updo. She is on her original wood & composition French body in the Jumeau style, fully-jointed and pose-able, with most of its original finish, and some expected overall age wear. Hands are repainted. She wears her original antique satin costume in a bright crimson with matching hat, and white lace. Underneath goes w hite cotton half slip and pantaloons, socks, and white tall leather boots with five button closure.

Condition: Hairline to left side of forehead: visible in photos. The hairline is darker near the top than the bottom, meaning it does now show up with the wig on. It comes from a slight split in the inner rim. Other than that, however, this girl has a bisque head free of other damage, and has excellent modeling, offering a beautiful dolly face that truly is alluring. If it weren't for that damage, she'd demand a much higher price, so this is a great opportunity for the collector who doesn't mind such issues, and is more concerned with presentation value, which this girl has lots of! The eyes are set paperweight. The body has its original fnish, with original dirt and age wear, which is expected. Some areas of scrubbing of the paint and composition. Hands are repainted, but fully intact, with no missing fingers! See photos for a clearer idea of the condition -- if you have any questions, shoot us an email or call us! c:
