This is an extraordinary candidate for the collection of any all-bisque lovers out there. This German girl is a rare larger size, standing at 7.75" tall, whereas most of the all-bisques are much smaller. She has lovely blue glass eyes, outdoing the typical painted bisque eyes. She's also adorned in her original dress and hat, offering a beautiful presentation! This lovely girl comes from circa 1910, and we've given her a period-appropriate antique box, c.1910, which she fits snugly inside! With its crimson silk interior, it will give her a nice and cozy place to snuggle up in when she's not on display! This is a beautiful treat for those collectors who seek out the unique pieces for their collection. I myself have many smaller dolls and all-bisques, and this girl is such a beauty, I wish I could keep her myself! She bears such a fabulous presentation, she is sure to please!
***As usual, this item is available on layaway! Please feel free to give us a call at 718-859-0901 to discuss payment plan options, or to discuss this item in-hand! We would love to hear from you. c: ***
The doll stands at 7.75" tall, all bisque, with glass blue eyes. Standard painted lashes and brows, and a molded closed mouth with pink lips. Jointed shoulders and thighs, with straight limbs. Painted white socks with blue trim, and single-strap black shoes with small heels. She wears her original cream cotton dress with hook and eye back closure, and flowery print and blue feather edging, and lace trim. She wears a matching wide-brimmed cotton hat with lace. She has a red mohair wig in tight curls. A white cotton half slip adorns her underneath, and we provided her with a pair of white cotton pantaloons.
The box is period-appropriate, c.1910 just like the doll. It has a half-circle handle on tip, with a loop closure on the front. Hinge is sturdy and works well, while the interior is a cherry red silk padded upholstery, with a slot for a little umbrella! She has a friend inside: a white wool crochet kitty with green eyes.
Marks: 3 1/2 62
Condition: Generally excellent. She has a very slight mark to the left cheek. Hands and fingers are excellent, and feet are great. There is a small surface flake to the back of her right thigh at the rim (should be visible in photos, but feel free to call us for an in-hand description). The box is great to, with no major excuses.
