What an extraordinary gem of history, exhibiting a lovely condition and all-antique costume. This paper mache lady is adorned in a beautiful, fabulous antique human hair wig, in golden blond curls that are just gorgeous -- she truly knows how to keep a presentation going. Bright blue glass eyes, an uncommon feature for paper maches, sit well in her head with a lovely, sparkling allure. There is no reason to say no to this lady, so make her your own -- she's even available on a short layaway if you so desire!
Paper mache shoulder plate, with molded shoulder/chest creases. Thinly-feathered brows, painted upper and lower lashes, closed mouth with thin line and shaded lips. Pale complexion, and blushed cheeks. Inset blue glass eyes, in a lovely icey blue color. She is on her original body, with some recovery; recovered torso (that is, original body laid over with cloth for reinforcement), recovered leather arms, with antique bisque hands. Original kidskin legs with gusset joints (with reinforcement patching), and a patch to the right hip. Cloth feet. She wears a beautiful golden blond human hair wig, in tight bouncy banana curls that hold a lovely shape. She wears a goldenrod straw hat with flower decoration, and a beautiful antique cotton dress with broderie anglaise collar, and flower print. Underneath goes a white cotton half slip with lace trim, and a pair of pantaloons with tucking and lace trim. White cotton socks and brown oilcloth shoes adorn her feet.
Condition: Generally excellent. The paper mache head is excellent with good quality and modeling, and no cracks or chips to detract from her beauty. Only some minor peppering to her lower right cheek, and minor rubbing to left lower cheek. Glass eyes look well, with silvery interior swirls. THe body is original and antique, but does have recovery and patchwork; arms and torso are recovered, and patches are on the gusset joints to reinforce.
