Exceptional 22" Kestner 168 with Antique Silk Dress, Blue Eyes, & Original Body Stamp
If you are in the market for one of the sweetest, most delicate Kestners, this girl is a spectacular choice. I've put up two other Kestner 168s recently, and they sold pretty quickly because everyone simply seems to love the 168 face. It truly is a hybrid of the best of the dolly and character child expressions. And this model truly is dressed to impress. It's no question that there will be high demand for this example with her beautiful expression and features (we're looking at those blue eyes!), extraordinary condition full original finish body, WITH original "Germany" stamp (that finish is really pristine), and luscious all antique sage silk dress. Truly, this is a real gorgeous doll, suited for high quality collection cabinets. She is destined for a home where every feature of her, from her expertly-crafted design, to her antique costume, can be fully appreciated.
***Yes, she is available on layaway! Take up to 5 months to pay for this girl. Call us up at 718-859-0901 for payment plan details, or for an in hand description of her fabulous condition!***
Bisque socket head, with original blue glass sleep eyes and painted lashes, real upper lashes, feathered flyaway brows, and an open mouth with four square-cut upper teeth. Dimpled chin and blushed cheeks, with overall sweet complexion and a general moderately-pale bisque. She stands on her original fully jointed wood & composition body, with amazing peachy and glossy original finish. She stands at 22" tall. She wears a golden brown French human hair wig, in luscious banana curls of the utmost quality. She wears a beautiful antique costume that is sure to please, starting with a pale mint green silk dress, with a sun yellow silk bow atop her head. Underneath goes a white cotton antique full slip with long sleeves, an antique white half slip, and a pair of antique white cotton pantaloons with broderie anglaise and scalloped edging on the bottoms. White lacy cotton knit socks adorn her feet, along with antique cream oilcloth shoes.
Marks: made in Germany E 168. 9.
Condition: Absolutely Stunning, and excellent. This girl has a beautiful bisque head that is free of hairlines, cracks, or restoration, and has excellent modeling, offering a beautiful dolly face that truly is alluring. The blue glass eyes sleep well, and invite you in, topped with moderately full real lashes. The body is simply amazing, with its all original finish,; the hands and feet are fantastic too, which are some of the most vulnerable areas for damage over the years. The hands are fabulous, with no chips or missing fingers. Overall, the body is great, with a pleasant color and only the most minor age wear on the thigh ball joints; on the left joint, there is a minor soil wear, with a slight split as a result. Overall, a fantastic girl, with exceptional quality. It's hard to find antique bisque girls in such fabulous condition!
