Advancing one's collection is a big deal for the experienced collector, and these all original antique German Bebe shoes are not only an excellent wardrobe addition, but a great investment. Perfect for your German or French bisque girl, or for display on their own, this pair of black oilcloth shoes exhibit style and class, all in a virtually untouched antique form that is nearly impossible to replicate with more modern doll accessories. The beauty of these shoes is also in the box... WOW! I have never seen another pair mint in box like this. They come from my own collection, and I don't think we'll ever see another pair quite like this. The oilcloth is dark and rich, maintaining a slight sheen, with an overall smooth surface -- very often, oilcloth pieces like these are very subject to cracking and flaking. They have cream soutache edging, with cream original ties, and white poms. I have seen Jumeau shoes in the original box sell for over $1000, but if you collect rare German character dolls, or specialize in large German girls, this fabulous pair will be a prominent highlight of your collection!
~This lovely pair of shoes is available on our 5 month layaway plan. Take your time to pay for them- and we will even ship them for free in the US! Just give us a call at 718.859.0901 to discuss payment options!~
Marks: MADE IN GERMANY 10 [Shoes on soles] 3585 Germany [Box]
Measurements: 4" in length. Just over 1.5" in toe width. Height: 1.75"
Condition: Excellent condition, save some original paint loss to the left shoe (visible in photos, this happened sometimes at the factory when they dried.) These shoes have held up amazingly well over the course of the many years they have been circulating. The original box is in great condition as well, with the original markings. I have NEVER before seen original shoes in the stock box like this, and they have been in my collection for many years. I will miss them dearly, but I am hoping that someone with a good eye has a dolly to sport them (while saving the original box for posterity) or a shoe shop vignette or dressing room scene in need of a fabulous pair like this!

**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we know how important it is for them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**
