Such a gorgeous lady! This sweet girl is ready to hold a place of honor in any collection, large or small. With that distinctive face and beautiful outfit, she is just a gem in every way. I love her blond hair, and that pale complexion; she is a gem. Her sweeping silhouette will enchant even the toughest customer; I know she won't be here long!
She has a fine parian shoulder head with delicate painting, excellent rendering of features and ice blue painted & molded eyes. She has deeply-molded blond curls, in a short style, with the bottoms of the ears visible. She has a closed mouth with blushed accenting and an overall lush complexion. She has glazed china hands, and is on her original cloth body, standing at 21" tall. It must be noted that, due to the delicate nature of the costume, and how it is fit to her (especially on the shoulders and torso), we did not want to remove it and risk damaging it, or damaging her -- we left it on, and inspected her while wearing it.
She is wearing such a beautiful dress, exquisite down to the details. An antique cotton organdy gown, exceptionally thin and soft to the touch, with hand-embroidered detailing, that extend more than halfway up the skirt, and along the sleeves and torso. Eyelet designs decorate the bottom of the scallop-edged skirt. She has olive green bows tied around her shoulders, and a matching ribbon around her waist which ties at the back, with a decorative flower to add some subtle color. Underneath she wears two slips, both antique, one with lace trimming, and a pair of antique lace-trimmed pantaloons. White cotton knit socks and white leather button-up booties adorn her feet.
Condition: Excellent. Her bisque head is lovely, and is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with pleasant modeling and great expert painting of features. Her china hands are great, and free of chips, while she maintains her original cloth body. Her shoulders seem like they might be a tad frail, one of the reasons why we didn't want to risk removing the costume. The costume is fabulous as well, and has held up well over the years.
