Exquisite c.1895 Antique Super-Fine Homespun Wool Coat w/Silk Velvet Trimming for ~18" Bebe!
Prepare your favorite French Jumeau, or other bisque Bebe for a new wardrobe addition! As long as she's close to 18" tall, she should have no problem fitting in this lovely antique wool coat, c.1895. The wool is super soft, bearing the signs of an excellent quality homespun fabric. It bears a peaked artist's flat collar, with decorative genuine silk velvet pink rose trimming lining the edges, with black contrast threading, which runs all the way to the back in a lovely cross pattern. A brass brooch fastens to each corner of the collar, with a hook and eye closure underneath to cover up your bebe when the winter chill sets in. For the antique doll who dresses simply, subtly, and elegantly, this coat will not be a disappointment.
Measurements: Coat: Length (measured from back): 12” – Sleeve Length: 6"
Condition: Excellent! The coat is in fabulous condition, with no major wear or tear, with a smooth and luxurious wool that is soft to the touch. Lining is good and intact -- the piece, overall, bears only the general and expected age wear from antique pieces. Overall, a beautiful piece.
**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we want them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**
