~As we enter the final week in March, it is time for our third annual Tax Return Sale. First we had papier maches on sale, then china dolls, and now, ladies and gentlemen of the doll world; it is time for the Bisque and Bebe sale of your dreams! From now until April 15th, we will be giving you a very, VERY good opportunity to utilize those tax return dollars with a mark down sale that is TOO BIG for us to do in one sitting, so we will be adding dolls to it in small gasps- starting at the top with our most beloved and extraordinary bebes, down to the sweetest and already affordable German dollies. Come join the doll fun and search Tax Return in our shop to see all the dolls and accessories included in the sale!~
For the biggest and most beautiful bisque dolls in your collection, we have a lovely addition to the wardrobe collection: a large white mohair coat, in a double-breasted winter style. The mohair is soft and supple, and bears a lovely cream color, with flower engraved brass round buttons, which close the front in a double-breasted style. Single-peaked fold down collar, while the interior is lined with a thin yet sturdy cotton, in cream. As you can see in the photos, it looks fabulous on any appropriately-sized bisque girl... This piece was made circa 1905, and we made sure to dress it up on a period-appropriate Kestner
Measurements: Coat: Length: 19” – Sleeve Length: 11” – Waist Width: 10.5”
Condition: Excellent! The coat is in fabulous condition, with no major wear or tear, with a smooth and luxurious finish. Lining is good and intact. The buttons are sturdily sewn and functional. Overall, a beautiful piece.
**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we want them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**
