Splendid light blue eyes, tapered brows, sweet smiling pink lips and a petite nose. She has a cream white china shoulder head with blushed cheeks, and beautifully molded hair with a middle part, and molded curls, which come down beyond her shoulders in the back, with her ears peeking out. A molded dutch braid wraps around the middle portion of the hair on the back. The hairline along the temples is expertly brushed in dark black streaks. She has her lovely china lower arms (original), and china legs with painted brown high heels and bows. On her original cloth body.
She wears a dark and attractive black waxed silk dress with white lace trim and crystalline faux buttons, with snap button front closure, and bow at the bottom back of the skirt. Underneath goes an antique cream half slip in cotton with beautiful broderie anglaise at the bottom, with embroidered flowery designs. A pair of white cotton antique pantaloons go underneath the slip. This 100% antique costume is beautiful, and suits this lady well.
Marks: A number "4" on the interior side of the right china foot
Condition: Generally Excellent. She has the most minor surface craze in the glace, just below the where the painting of her hair ends on the left side of her forehead. The line is only in the glaze itself, and does not seem to extend into the actual porcelain. The modeling of the details is excellent, and the painting sublime. Some chipping along the bottom rim of the shoulder plate -- relatively minor, it is invisible with the costume on. She has some rubs to the hair, particularly in the back. Excellent body with little to no wear. The china limbs are all original -- a minor y-shaped firing line on the interior side of the right arm. The feet are fabulous, with no chips or damage. Overall, though, along with her pristine costume, this girl is VERY desirable, and will be a gem in your collection for years to come. In perfect condition, a lady such as she sells for $1800, so this is a real chance to snag an uncommon beauty.
