What a gorgeous and fashionable lady she is...I always think that china dolls look best in black and white, and this beauty really displays that styling to the height of her abilities. She really does exude a lovely sense of elegance and presentation, from that sweet expression, to the delicate cameo around her neck, to her all original antique costume. She stands at 16", and will fit right in with the other prized dolls in your collection. Get yourself a little treat and take this beauty home!
*Yes, she is available on layaway -- feel free to email us or call us at 718-859-0901 for payment details, or an in-hand description of her beauty!*
She has a sweet china shoulder head, in a pale milky white and smooth glossy finish. Crisply-molded features are accented with ice blue eyes, painted black tapered brows, while her delicate closed mouth is puckered with two blushed lips, and framed by two chunky cheeks. Her hair is molded into a sweet swept-back style, exposing her forehead amidst deep curls that frame her face well. Her original china hands are deeply molded with all fingers intact, and her original china feet are well modeled and painted a tangerine orange with red trimming. Her original cloth body is intact and in very good antique condition. She stands at 16" tall.
She wears her all original antique costume, starting with an ultra-soft cotton ecru dress, with grey pinstripes, and a scalloped trim to the collar and cuffs, and a black wave piping to the bottom hem. A black velvet ribbon goes around the waist, while around her neck sits a beautiful little cameo of a woman's profile. She wears her original antique full slip underneath, in a delicate and luscious cream cotton, with lace trim, and a pair of matching pantaloons with lace trim.
Condition: Very good. Her modeling is excellent and sweet, greatly portraying that of a lovely Victorian lady in the china doll style. Her original antique body is in great condition too, with only expected age wear, and two tiny square patches on the legs. Her arms and legs are in great condition too, with no chips or restoration! Those hands are fabulous indeed. Her costume is sturdy and beautiful. She does have very faint surface glaze crazing on the face; it seems to be superficial, and does not extend into the actual porcelain underneath the glaze. It is very subtle, and easy to miss, so it does not detract from her beauty or presentation.
