An exquisite little purse, I have never seen one quite like this before with this rare hinged top construction and that delightful silver clasp and chain. Coming from a world class collection of poupee accessories, this is a prized purse that really stands out as an extraordinary miniature made for the luxury market during the height of the Parisienne Doll era (just after the Enfantine, C. 1870-1880, before the poupee was out-produced by the bebe.) Poupees from Maison Barrois, Jumeau, Gaultier, or August Dehors will especially appreciate this purse, I think, as it is as elegant and refined as can be. Shown here on our most gorgeous 14" Jumeau Poupee, it seems a perfect scale for anyone from the 12-24" size (I had it displayed with my large Smiling Bru, resting on the wrist of her wooden arms for a few months) and will truly stand out as the pearlescent finish has gorgeous rainbow undertones that do not show up in the photographs. Expertly crafted and incredibly finished, this purse will not be here long!
*Yes, we are happy to offer the lucky new owner of this purse a two month layaway option for it ($70 per month)! Get your girl what she deserves and spoil her without breaking the bank with this sweet little piece.*
Measurements: 3.4" long 1.75" high
Condition: Excellent. Perfect in every way, only minor and typical agewear. I will have my workshop polish the silver before shipment if the new owner of this fine Victorian accessory so desires- or we will leave that beautiful tarnish and maintain the antique look. We spend so much on purchasing our dolls, why not heighten their values and expand their wardrobes with statement pieces such as this?

**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we know how important it is for them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**
