An exquisite piece for the fashion doll that will settle for nothing less than the best- this corset is an above and beyond example from a private collection of exquisite accessories. This is a particularly rare example, as I have never seen a doll size high back corset; this style was not commonly made and usually only completed for bespoke corset models, so to find it in this miniature one third scale design is superb. The button closure rather than a straight front or more common busk closure is very exciting. If you only acquire pieces of exhibition quality, this beauty would be an excellent investment piece for your collection. A wood bodied Bru or early Jumeau Fashion Poupee with appreciate this corset particularly. Don't miss this one if you collect fine antique undergarments!
Front Length: 5" Back Length: 5.75" Waist: 6.75"
Condition: Exquisite. This corset has been well kept, even down to maintaining the original lace. All grommets in excellent shape; one grommet has been replaced with a period appropriate replacement that is the tiniest bit smaller than the others. Some minor foxing overall, but a gem of a corset that will really make a lucky fashion doll proud! We spend so much on our dolls when really, in my opinion, it is the clothing that sets them apart- and for a $3,000-10,000 fashion doll, a corset of this caliber at this price point is a steal and an investment- as the larger her trousseau, the higher her value. I can imagine this corset in a dressing room vignette or on a mannequin in your favorite poupee's sewing room!

We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we know how important it is for them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper.
