A fabulous piece, for the fabulous doll of your choosing, this antique half slip will make a sweet and welcome addition to any fashion doll's wardrobe. Constructed from a very thin cotton organdy that drapes like a fine silk, the slip has two inches at the bottom hem of gorgeous HANDMADE lace trimming and a softly ruffled edge. Original metal hook closure secures the waist. A stunningly rare piece, it originates from circa 1868-72, fit for the finest of lady dolls, just before the introduction of the widely-fashionable bustle in the late 1870s and just after the fashionability of the 1860's elliptical hoop skirt died down. A piece of art in its own right, you will rest well knowing that your most prized lady doll will can sport her finest silk ball gown or other best antique attire over so spectacular an undergarment!
Waist Circumference: 8"
Condition: Fabulous original condition. Minimal expected antique age wear [two pencil-tip tiny holes], but overall a fantastic piece with no excuses. Your doll of choice will definitely benefit from this lovely slip.

**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we know how important it is for them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**LBS
