A lovely pea coat for your loveliest bisque girl, such as a Simon & Halbig 949 as seen in the pictures! This antique piece carries a wonderfully-elegant yet subtle presentation, from its nice drapery to the soft cotton fabric. For the dolls in my own personal collection, not only do I love expanding my dolls, but I love expanding their wardrobes -- I take great pride in being able to swap out my bisque beauties's outfits for another every so often, each more gorgeous than the next. This beautiful piece will not disappoint.
It is made from a very soft white cotton, with subtle vertical raised embroidered patterns, giving it a lovely texture and dimensionality. It has a double-breasted closure, with ringed mother of pearl flat top buttons, with appreciable thickness and sturdiness. It has a low simple collar, allowing for your doll's dress to peek out beneath it; for extra style, leave the top button undone to really give your bisque girl some flair. It really is a lovely piece, with no excuses. As seen in the pictures, this piece was modeled on my lovely Simon & Halbig 949 -- a beautiful girl, who will look gorgeous in your collection. She's on sale too. Item ID: RLI-958
Measurements: Length (shoulder to bottom hem): 11" -- Shoulder width: 8" -- Sleeve length: 6" -- Waist width: 9"
Condition: Truly excellent. The cotton fabric means that there are no pesky moth holes, as seen with many wool fabrics of similar age. On the back, just by the collar seam, is a very minor hole where the fabric began to string. This is minor, leading to an overall piece that has incredible presentation for any doll for whom it will fit.
