A gorgeous little find with a linen top and ruffled edging, this is perfect for collectors who want just the right accessory for their big doll display! Perfect for displaying OPEN because this beauty will NOT rip or tear when you get it out of the box (as long as you are careful and open it slowly, of course, as we must with all fine antique parasols, silk or not!) you will be delighted with this whimsical piece! In very good condition for its age, I just love how it looks with our 41" Heinrich Handwerck! You don't find parasols like this every day, I have been collecting them since I was big enough to use one this size, and there is something special about this one that I can't quite put my finger on... perhaps it is that lovely antique ecru coloring or the bauble end of the wooden handle, or even the faux bone spoke tips. This parasol comes together so nicely, I know it will have a place of honor in the hand of one of your ladies!
Measurements: 25.5" long Approximately 28" across.
Condition: Overall, very good. Age coloration and wear as to be expected, but all metal spokes are in near perfect condition. Please have a look at all of the photographs; this is a special piece!
**We now ship EVERY SINGLE ONE of our antique costume pieces in archival, museum quality, acid free tissue paper. We store them in an acid free, climate controlled environment, because we want you to get a textile that has been frozen in time. As curators of these antiques, we want them to be as fresh for the next generation of students and enthusiasts as they were for us. This is factored into the price of our merchandise. We hope you can enjoy these rare finds for years to come, and we want to make sure that when they reach you, they are ready for careful love and display if you so chose, or to be stored in a destruction-free paper. Happy shopping!**
