What a lovely antique piece this is! This Early 1900s Antique White Cotton Apron relies on subliminal style instead of over the top elegance, starting with fine scalloped-edge stitching, and moving on to delicate soutache stitching on the skirt and breast. A waist belt fastens in the back for closure. The material is supple and strong, perfect for an apron expected to be used to catch dirt and wear by the maid wearing it. It will complete the outfit of any of your big fashion dolls, especially if you're trying to make a specific maid costume! It will look just fabulous.
Measurements: Length: 24" -- Waist: app. 4.5" -- Skirt Bottom Width: 25"
Condition: One end of the back belt has tear damage, making button closure impossible; pins are a good substitute on your little lady. There is some overall damage, notably at the top right tip of the upper half-- two small holes (see photos) and other overall wear; however, in perfect condition this piece would probably be worth $250. As such, we must make a few allowances for so lovely an antique! Please see all photographs.
