I've always loved the somewhat pensive expression on this sweet china doll. She stands 18" tall and is on an antique, tightly stuffed cloth body. Her head is free of chips, cracks or hairlines though she does have numerous rubs to her hair both front and back. She was obviously well loved. Her face has round, apple cheeks and soft blue-gray eyes. She has some light firing specks on her face, and a tiny pinhead sized red spot on her cheek which is deeper colored than her cheek color. Her china arms are antique and each one has the thumb chipped off. Her legs are marked with the number 5. Her boots are orange and have much wear. The tip of one boot appears to have a chip on it, but if you run your finger over it, it is very smooth so it is an old injury.
She is dressed in a wonderful, antique red dress trimmed in black lace. The dress is a combination of hand and machine stitching and is in good condition. There is one small tear on the skirt, about 1/4" long and the lace has pulled loose from the back of the bodice which could be reattached if desired. The bodice is lined in glazed cotton and fastens up the back with hooks and eyes.
She's a sweet old girl who needs a good home.
