This pair of antique curtain tiebacks are absolutely stunning in their quality and detail. The horse and rider are reverse hand painted on thick crystal glass that are applied separately to the brass back in a diamond cut out. They each measure 2 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 1/2 inch screw. The condition is wonderful with just a small red paint splotch to the rump and leg of one horse that you have to look very closely to see. I have magnified my photos so it looks more evident than it is. Also the red background looks like it has dark areas in the photos but it does not but is fluid throughout. I would date them to C.1900 or older.
