This is an extremely rare silver bank depicting 3 Boston Terrier dogs coming out of their doghouse. It has the company mark of The McChesney Company, Newark, NJ which was founded in 1921 by noted silversmith Samuel D. McChesney and sold when he died in 1926. Because the company was only in business for five years that plays a large role in its rarity. It is also marked sterling and N245 and has been engraved with the initials P.K. It measures just under 3 inches tall and I’m guessing it may have been a nursery item given as a baby’s gift. It is in excellent condition with just a tiny rough edge at the money slot on the bottom.
