This is a very nice and detailed solid bronze statue of a terrier that I believe is Greyfriars Bobby who was a famous terrier dog from Edinburgh Scotland. I’ve included a photo of the book’s cover about him and it sure looks like this statue. The dog was famous for guarding his master’s grave for 14 years until he died in 1872 and there is even a statue there today dedicated to him. The bronze measures just over 4 inches tall and is unmarked and might possibly be a desk paperweight. I believe it is very old therefore very dark with patina and age verdigris which is the green. I’m sorry you can’t see the wonderful detail in him because of the dark patina but it is a quality piece. Condition is very nice with just a tiny bit of a rough edge on the base very minor.
