This beautiful fashion 3 x 5 postcard of a lovely woman and her Bulldog is signed by the artist F Earl Christy and titled “Protected”. It is unused and the publisher is Reinthal & Newman New York and would look very nice framed. It has vibrant unfaded colors with just some light scuffing on the right side edge and slightly bumped top left corner. F. Earl Christy hailed from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was born in 1882. His first name was believed to have been Frederic, according to his bio he died in 1961 in the Long Island town of Freeport, New York. Like one of his contemporaries, Harrison Fisher, he built a reputation painting beautiful women in the early 1900s. Some of his covers graced Saturday Evening Post, American Magazine, the Sunday Magazine of the New York Times, Collier's, and Photoplay Magazine.
