This very early antique dish I believe is from the mid 19th century or around C.1850. It measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter and and was either a little dresser pin dish or a nut dish. Either were popular items of that period. The cropped eared Bulldog or Pug dog has nice wrinkle detailing as well as muzzle hairs. It was definitely painted at one time and now most has rubbed off. It is in good condition for its age with some glaze missing on the back that was done in the making and a few tiny chips to bottom circle rim.
