This is a wonderful porcelain pot lid from the 1800's made by the famous Prattware Co. showing a heartwarming scene titled "The Snow Drift" with a Collie dog rescuing a sheep. The pot would have contained fish or vegetable paste with the pots mostly discarded but the lids became collector items. The pot did not come with this lid but we matched them together and they actually fit pretty well. The lid has normal light crazing and does have a chip on the neck and some hairline cracks also on the neck. It measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and displays very nicely.
