This sterling silver matchbox represents one of the unusual items made in the early 1900’s in England. This elaborate and ornate matchbox is certainly very different from what is made today. It measures 1 ¾ inches in width, 3 ¼ inches in length, and 1 inch in height. The matchbox is hallmarked. The hallmarks indicate sterling silver made in Chester, England in 1932. It has the original box which is in excellent condition marked on the bottom of the matchbox Bryant & Mays. The strikers on the sides show no signs of use.
