A very lovely and unusual piece, I would date it to late Victorian around 1890 attribute to the Georgian revival period. it features four(4) strands of hand cut beautiful wine red Bohemian garnet gemstones and a HUGE fancy clasp.
This amazing clasp has a 10K yellow gold top and a sterling silver back (both tested), the gold top has very fancy and decorative scroll and flora designs and features a center black Silhouette of a 17th century lady on a green background.
The clasp can hold up to six(6) strands of beads, I suspect the multi-facet irregular-shaped garnet gemstones(they reflect light beautifully) are much older than the clasp and are genuine Georgian. And the piece is otherwise in great condition with no damage, the silver clasp tongue is original and in perfect working order.
The bracelet has a wearable length of 8-1/2 inches, the center clasp measures 1-7/8 inches by 1-5/8 inches, weight 27.5 grams.
