Introducing an absolutely fabulous, vintage 1950's, cream colored, mohair coat by the high quality label, Bataldi, New York. This lovely, full-length piece is the epitome of soft and sumptuous! It is accented beautifully with hand-embroidered flowers on the the collar and 3/4 length sleeves. The oversize, mohair-covered buttons, and two slanted hip pockets make this a signature late 1950's piece. This coat would make an excellent addition to any vintage or modern collection. It is fully lined and has the by Bataldi, New York label intact. The mohair (Angora Goat Hair) is a natural, off-white color, and is completely soft, super warm, and 100% huggable.
This coat is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. No major flaws to note. It has been professionally cleaned and is ready to wear.
Size wise, I'd estimate it to be a modern MEDIUM to a smaller Large. But please see the measurements below. They were all taken with the garment laying flat, seam to seam, and have already been doubled where necessary. Please compare them to a similar garment of your own. The lovely Jessica is 5'7" tall, for reference.
Shoulders-> 15" Bust->38" Waist-> 40" Hips-> 42" Sleeve length-> 15" Entire length-> 40"
This is a super awesome, super collectible, super vintage piece. Bataldi made lots of fashionable, high quality, natural fiber coats, in its day, but the label is no longer in business. So if you love this coat, don't let it get away!
