This amazing Art Deco revival piece was designed by Kenneth Jay Lane in the 1970's or 80's. The Art Deco period has long been a strong influence on his collections over the years.
This wonderful black and green brooch has a classic deco style with faux materials that convincingly simulate precious materials. The center is a round green glass cabochon that simulates carved jade and the black ring appears to be made of onyx. Two rows of clear rhinestones center the green cabochon in the outer black ring. It is signed on the reverse KJL with copyright symbol.
The piece is in excellent condition. It does not appear the piece has ever been worn. It measures 1-5/8" by 1-3/8".
