Marcel Boucher was established as a jeweler in 1937 and designed pieces up until he died in 1972. This particular piece dates sometime after 1955, based on the mark.
This simple leaf brooch has slightly ruffled edges to give it a bit of movement and depth. It dates from late 50's , early 60's when the leaf motif was very popular. The brilliant green translucent enamel adds a special touch. I think that this is a very classy example of mid-century jewelry.
The pin is in very good condition. There is only the slightest sign of wear show on the pin stem which is barely visible. The enamel has no cracks, scuff, chips or flaws. It measures 3" long by 1-1/2" wide.
In addition to the signature, prefaced by the copyright symbol, there is an inventory number of 8648P.
