During the 1980's, Avon hired Kenneth J Lane to design several jewelry collections for them. This 1986 piece comes from the Sophisticated Lady collection. In addition to the Ram's head bracelet, it included matching Ram's head earrings and a beaded necklace. This interpretation of the ram's head bracelet is influenced by centuries old designs.
A pair of ram's heads in profile face each other at the center of the bracelet. The heads are further enhanced by emerald greed rhinestone eyes. Textured metal is used for the rest of the bracelet, which terminates at a spring. I particularly like this design because of it's simplicity.
The piece is in excellent condition and looks as though it has never been worn. The spring at the center of the bracelet is strong and the bracelet is easy to slip on and off. It measures 2-1/4" across by 1-3/4" in height. It fits an average size wrist tightly enough that it won't slip about, yet loose enough for comfort.
